Since the inception of his live show and his exciting new style of house music in early 2018, Alex Preston has gone from strength to strength. The Sydney-native utilises his skills as a virtuoso musician as he melds tasteful guitar licks and disco-tinged funky bass lines, with warm, pulsating house beats to create an exciting new style of underground house music.

Over the past few months Alex’s music has received support from the likes of Sonny Fodera, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Tube & Berger, Fisher, Idris Elba, Fatboy Slim, Kideko, Tuff London, Kryder, DJ PP & The Aston Shuffle; with artists playing his tunes at Defected events in Croatia, Ibiza & ADE. While his live show is setting dancefloors alight all over Australia with an innovative blend of live guitar licks and mixing.

Recently signing with Sonny Fodera’s, Solotoko imprint, Alex finished off the year with a huge remix of Sonny’s single, Somebody New, which smashed its way up the Traxsource charts.

January sees Alex Preston kick off 2019 in style with the release of his Ain’t Gonna Cry EP on Solotoko. Brimming with musicality and vitality, Ain’t Gonna Cry marks an exciting new direction for Alex Preston’s ever-evolving sound and the start of an extremely successful 2019.

In February Alex Preston will not only share the stage with Sam Divine at Defected Sydney, he will also release his debut EP on Sam’s flourishing label, DVINE Sounds.
