Take the 3rd stop on the Cranbourne & Pakenham line, take a left, walk 600m and you will hear subtle hints of sophisticated house rooted in funk, soul, jazz and blues emanating from a hidden studio. Producing in a pocket of Melbourne, Australia by the same name Hawksburn draws on influences from anything with deep origins. The project seeks to go back to a simpler time and explore the roots of soulful 90’s musical influences, creating a modern landscape of sound, guided by kicks, snares, funky basslines and NY style hats. With releases on Hot Sunday Records, STMPD, ASTRX, Juiced, and a variety of remixes, Hawksburn continues into 2019 with a selection of funk served by a refined white collar.
