Yan Valer

Yan Valer began his career in radio on his native island of Malta, where his formative years behind the mic shaped an eclectic and open-minded approach to music. From those House and Alternative Music shows, these early experiences laid the foundation for a sound that now seamlessly translates across both his DJ sets and productions.

His releases, starting with the dreamy ‘Frida’ in 2021 have been varied in style and has come to be expected from Valer.

Now based in London, Yan is known for a fluid, genre-spanning style that moves effortlessly from Disco to Tech, weaving through House classics, Latin rhythms, Italo Disco, and Electronica — always with a grounded sense of groove, atmosphere and Feels.

Back on the airwaves, he hosts ‘Music for Bubbles’ on Glitterbeam Radio UK, a weekly show airing Saturdays at 8pm (GMT), serving up House and disco, and some trademark Quirky Gems – the show has quickly become a go-to destination for fresh and forward-thinking sounds.
